Sara is an experienced counsellor who works with children aged 6-12 years. She offers your child a playful environment where toys, art & craft, puppets, a large sand tray and a life size body map can be used to help your child express their feelings and emotions.
Sara's qualities of gentleness, kindness and humility enable children to quickly form a trusting relationship where they feel safe to explore whatever is going on for them.
Sara holds an MA in Counselling from the University of East Anglia and additionally holds a Post Qualification Diploma in Counselling Children and Adolescents from Iron Mill College. Being a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) you can be assured that Sara works to a high standard, and adheres to an ethical framework and code of conduct
How Can Counselling help my child?
If your child is showing signs of low mood, anxiety, irritability, or is quick to fly off the handle, chances are they are struggling with difficult feelings. Counselling can help children to cope with their big feelings and emotions and can improve their self-esteem, resilience and overall emotional wellbeing.
Counselling is confidential (unless there is risk to personal safety) and it therefore provides a safe space for children to express whatever is troubling them without fear of judgement.

Would you like your child to meet Sara and visit our centre before committing to regular sessions?
- We thought you would, that's why we offer a free no obligation 30 minute 'meet Sara' meeting *
If you decide for your child to attend regular sessions, fees are £60 per session. Typically you can expect for your child to need between 8 and 20 weekly sessions - although this varies depending on the child and their presenting issue/s. Your child could need fewer sessions or more. Unfortunately it is not possible to predict how many sessions a child will need as each child is different.
